 (1893 – 1970)
 
 Born in Iowa on April 10, 1893, "Cy" Young, as he was called, moved to California in 1910.  He settled in Los Angeles in 1930 and worked as a surgical nurse while painting in his leisure.  He became a competent landscape painter before his death in Los Angeles on February 17, 1970.  This painting: “Desert Noblemen,” was shown at the Laguna Beach Art Association T.F.M. of June – July, 1953.
