 Artist Biography Walter Albert Engelhardt (1893 – 1956) was born in Illinois on October 25, 1893. He was the son of artist Henry Engelhardt. Walter was a resident of Hollywood, California by the early 1920s. He maintained a residence at 6231 DeLongpre and his gallery, the Engel Art Shop, at 6707 Hollywood Boulevard.Using a bright palette, Walter Engelhardt painted bold, decorative scenes of southern California and its deserts.
